Best Training Institute in Nepal: What Actually Matters When Choosing One

The Marketing Problem

Every IT training institute in Nepal claims to be the best. Their websites have testimonials from happy students, photos of modern classrooms, and promises of guaranteed placement. Some of these claims are true. Many are not. The challenge for students is figuring out which institute will actually deliver on its promises.

We have been in this industry since 2022, and we have seen institutes come and go. We have also seen students waste months and thousands of rupees at programs that did not prepare them for the real world. So here is our honest guide to evaluating any training institute — including ourselves.

Criterion 1: Look at Graduate Outcomes, Not Marketing

Forget the testimonials on the website. Ask for specific data. What percentage of graduates got jobs within three months? What companies hired them? What are their starting salaries? Can you connect me with three recent graduates for a phone call?

A reputable institute will have this data readily available and will be happy to connect you with alumni. An institute that hesitates or deflects this question is hiding something. At Sangalo Tech, we maintain a placement record and can connect prospective students with graduates who are willing to share their experiences.

Criterion 2: Evaluate the Curriculum Against Industry Needs

Ask to see the detailed curriculum. Not just module names like "JavaScript" or "React," but specific topics and projects. Does the curriculum cover deployment? Does it include testing? Does it teach version control with Git? These are the skills that employers actually use daily.

Cross-reference the curriculum with job postings. Search for "MERN Stack developer" or "React developer" on job sites and note the required skills. If the curriculum does not cover those skills, you will be underprepared when you graduate.

Criterion 3: Instructor Quality Over Facility Quality

Fancy classrooms with LED screens and ergonomic chairs are nice, but they do not determine the quality of education. The instructors do. Ask about the instructors' backgrounds. Are they working professionals or full-time teachers? How long have they been in the industry? Do they have public profiles — GitHub, LinkedIn, published articles — that you can verify?

The best instructors are working developers who teach part-time. They bring current industry knowledge, real project experience, and professional networks that full-time academics cannot match.

Criterion 4: Batch Size Matters

If an institute puts forty students in a classroom with one instructor, you will not get personalized attention. Period. The ideal ratio is one instructor for every twelve to fifteen students. This ensures that you can get help when you are stuck, receive code reviews on your projects, and build a meaningful relationship with your mentor.

At Sangalo Tech, we cap our batches at fifteen students. This is a deliberate business decision — we sacrifice revenue for quality. We believe this is why our graduates consistently outperform graduates from larger programs.

Criterion 5: The Project Portfolio

What will you build during the course? This is the most important question you can ask. The projects you create during training become your portfolio, and your portfolio is what gets you hired. Ask to see projects from previous students. Are they impressive? Do they demonstrate real-world skills? Or are they cookie-cutter tutorial clones?

Red Flags to Watch For

Guaranteed placement promises with no data to back them up. Curricula that have not been updated in over a year. Instructors with no public professional presence. Institutes that pressure you to sign up immediately. Negative reviews on Google or social media that are not addressed. Lack of transparency about fees and what is included.

The Sangalo Tech Difference

We are transparent about what we offer: fifteen-student batches, working developer instructors, a curriculum updated quarterly, real client projects during training, and a one-month internship at our software company. We do not promise guaranteed employment — we promise that if you put in the work, we will put in every effort to help you succeed.

The best training institute is the one that fits your learning style, your schedule, and your career goals. Visit in person, talk to graduates, and make an informed decision. Your career deserves that effort.
